This workshop will be held on Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd of April. Registration will open on Mon 30^th of March at 10am. Add it to your agenda, few slots are available!

It will be articulated in three parts:

1. Tuesday 21st from 9h to 11h45: Theory lectures (DBSSE, room D65.2)

• Basics on light sheet microscopy
• Basics on clearing techniques

2. Tuesday 21st from 13h to 17h30: Hands-on demo sessions at:

• Zeiss Light sheet 7 (BZ, 07.092)
• Mesospim (BZ, 07.092)
• Leica Viventis (DBSSE, 4.2)
• SyGlass VR visualization (BZ, 07.053)

3. Wednesday 22nd from 9h to 12h: Hands-on image analysis of light sheet data (BZ, 07.053)

Theory lectures can be attended without registration. For the hands-on sessions, the participants will acquire live imaging data and big cleared samples, which will be analysed during the hands-on session on Wednesday.

Important information:

• For participation in the hands-on session, registration is required, and the presence in the theory sessions is mandatory.
• Registration with a professional email address is mandatory (e.g., @unibas.ch, @fmi.ch, @iob.ch, @psi.ch, @ethz.ch).
• The hands-on session is free of charge; however, a no-show fee of 50 CHF will apply if you do not cancel at least 24 hours in advance.
• We kindly ask that you attend the full hands-on session if you register.
• Ideally, participants have already hands-on microscopy experience.
• Photographs might be taken during the event. These photos will be used for communication and promotional purposes on the MNB linkedin and website, in press releases and in the communication channels of the organizing and partner institutions. If you don't want to be photographed, please inform the organisation team before the workshop.
