Basics of wide field and confocal fluorescence microscopy 2018

In this introductory course you can immerse yourself into the world of fluorescence microscopy.

The morning session will be comprised of lectures on the principles of fluorescence, the fluorescence microscope light path and components including filters and light sources. We will also discuss the principles of confocal microscopy, typical fluorochromes used for sample labeling, and example applications.

In the afternoon we invite registered participants to live demonstrations and hands-on sessions for wide field microscopy and confocal microscopy with select applications.
