Basics of Structural Electron Microscopy 2018

Introduction to Electron Microscopy.

The morning lectures will introduce the basics of electron microscopy (SEM and TEM), general sample preparation, and theory of 3D methods in electron microscopy (Tilt Tomography, 3View, Slice and View).

In the afternoon there will be 4 groups practicing either negative stain and imaging in TEM, or embedding, thin sectioning and imaging in TEM, or critical point drying and imaging in SEM, or 3View block face imaging in SEM.
