The Essentials in Microscopyworkshop will be held on Monday, Sept 21st. Registration will opens on Monday, Sept 7th, at 10:00. Add it to your calendar, as few slots are available for the hands-on session.

This workshop is articulated in two parts: Theory lectures in the morning and Hands-on session in the afternoon.

Theory lectures will cover the following topics (circa 3 hrs, at the D-BSSE room D65.2):

• Sample preparation (Histology): good practice and pitfalls
• Sample preparation (Fluorescence): Tips and Pitfalls

Hands-on rotations will cover:

• Immunostainings on cryosections
• Immunostainings on adherent cells
  
  For participation in the hands-on session, registration is required, and the presence in the theory sessions is mandatory. Please note that for the theory lectures only, registration is not required.
• Registration with a professional email address is mandatory (e.g., @unibas.ch, @fmi.ch, @iob.ch, @psi.ch, @ethz.ch).
• The hands-on session is free of charge; however, a no-show fee of 50 CHF will apply if you do not cancel at least 24 hours in advance.
• We kindly ask that you attend the full hands-on session if you register.
• Pictures might be taken during the event. These photos will be used for communication and promotional purposes on the MNB LinkedIn and website, in press releases and in the communication channels of the organizing and partner institutions. If you don't want to be photographed, please inform the organisation team before the workshop.
